When I go to the site, people like to pm me. The problem is that pm makes the public chat looks dead and I would rather engage people in public chat. But once they pm me, it seems rather rude not to talk to them.
I would like a way for me to disable pm for my account unless I start it.

A way to disable private messages
Hi there,
It may not be possible for us to develop this as a generic feature.
An alternative way could be to use CSS to hide your name from the user list so others cannot PM you.
Would this work for you?
